Two colours is a contrast problem. Four is a much harder one, because every colour has to be distinguishable from every other colour, not just from one, and from the shirts underneath as well.

Picked one at a time off a chart, a four-colour set almost always contains a pair that collapses — typically the red and the orange, or the navy and the black, or the two that were fine indoors and are both simply dark once wet. Then the coach spends the session pointing instead of coaching.

We build these as a set. Every colour is checked against every other for value contrast, spread across light, mid and dark rather than clustered, and we will tell you when a colour you have asked for cannot join a set you already own. Where a genuine fifth is not available we suggest a plain contrast panel or a hoop instead of stretching the palette further.

Sets are counted, bagged and labelled per colour so a coach can hand out a group in one movement.

Sometimes, and we will check it against what you have rather than against a chart. If the only workable gap collides with a colour already in your set we will say so instead of selling you one that turns your four-group session into a three-group one.
